People’s Light Wedding | Elanur & Connor

We are truly blessed to get to capture beautiful weddings almost every single weekend. Within a few minutes of our Malvern studio, we’re surrounded by some of Chester County’s most beautiful venues. We’re never at a loss for stunning florals, pretty paper goods, and sweet, delicious cakes! And we’re meeting people who are truly in love and embarking on life’s biggest adventure together. Aren’t we the luckiest? So what makes Ela & Connor’s Farmhouse at People’s Light wedding stand out among the rest?

These two weren’t just in love with each other, but their genuine heart for people shone through our every interaction and moment with these two. Their love shines not just when the two of them are together, but also in the way they’ve adopted and cared for each others’ families and the world around them. Ela & Connor are two of the most beautiful examples of daily love we have had the chance to encounter and we’d find ourselves smiling more each time we would answer an email or hop on a call with them. Even after spending a full day capturing their beautiful celebration, we came home feeling more energized and believing more in what we do than we started the day.

We started the day in the sunbathed bridal rooms at The Farmhouse at People’s Light capturing all of Ela’s vibrant florals and thoughtful details. In between the lush, feather roses, there were sprigs of different evergreens and firs that filled the rooms with a fresh, woodsy aroma. Adding to the warm, cozy vibes was a wood-burning fireplace and lots of warm fuzzies between Ela, her mother, sister, and Connor’s mother. As she prepared to meet Connor for the day, there were little glimpses of happy tears, but above all else, there was laughter, hugs, and tiny glimpses of happy tears.

Connor was also embracing the holiday spirit as his father helped him into his suit for the day. With an oversized Christmas tree as a backdrop and a bright burgundy red tie popping against his stormy grey three-piece suit, Connor was a bundle of happy anticipation as he spent his last few minutes with his parents before heading outside for his first look. But he couldn’t get married without a quick pause to drop a note in the mailbox headed to the north pole in the Farmhouse at People’s Light lobby. We are pretty sure that we knew exactly what Connor asked for this Christmas (Hint: Ela, all he wants for Christmas is Ela!)

One of the funniest memories from the day happened just before Ela & Connor’s first look. As Connor waited in place, Ashley went up to him to explain what would happen next. He heard the footsteps, his shoulders lifted, and before he even turned around, he had tears in his eyes – only to be disappointed to see Ashley instead of Ela! But no worries, once everyone was in place, Ela & Connor had the fabulous Farmhouse at People’s Light as the backdrop to their first look, while their parents stood on the porch, watching from afar. And despite the earlier false alarm, Connor was so overjoyed and excited to see his bride for the first time that day that the tears freely flowed.

Ela & Connor then led the way around the grounds of the Farmhouse at People’s Light for the rest of their portrait session, after which, their family members joined us for a series of beautiful outdoor family photos. Before we knew it, it was time to head inside and prepare for the wedding ceremony.

Inside, Heather and the team at Cottage Flowers had created a rustic winter wonderland, complete with potted evergreens, candle-filled lanterns, and pine cones galore. It would be the perfect backdrop for a final set of portraits and their much-anticipated wedding ceremony.

Ela & Connor’s wedding ceremony was truly a family affair. Connor’s father stood next to him at the altar, as his best man, along with his closest cousin. Ela followed her brothers and sisters down the aisle, walking along side her father. And Ela’s youngest brother officiated the service where these two families agreed to come together in support of Ela & Connor’s love. When it was all said & done, Ela & Connor toasted to their new union and embraced their grandparents for a few more portraits before getting ready for the party of the year!

The winter wonderland continued into the reception in the ballroom at the Farmhouse at People’s Light where Ela & Connor’s paper suite perfectly matched the burgundy florals throughout the space and candle and twinkle lights warmed the space. After a first dance together and a few simple formalities, Ela & Connor led their guests out into the atria for dancing to both American and Turkish music as their friends & family came together to celebrate this awesome union.
