If there’s on thing that most married couples can agree on, it’s that your wedding day is a whirlwind! This is even more true when you’re need to travel from your getting ready location to your ceremony, and then from there to your reception venue. That doesn’t mean the travel time is time wasted, though. Some of the best Philadelphia wedding photography opportunities take place en route from one location to the next. All the more reason to choose your wedding day transportation according to your wedding’s theme and aesthetic!
I’ve seen some amazing ideas for wedding day transportation ideas recently. Here are some of the best ones:
- TrolleyTrolleys seem to be a popular choice for wedding day transportation in Philadelphia. Julianne and Bobby used Bucks County Trolley Co., and the trolley looked amazing in their photos! The green and red color scheme meshed perfectly with the mixture of traditional Irish and vintage decorative touches. They even put a “Just Married” bunting on the back of the trolley, and tied strings of cans to the bumper!
- Limo BusLimos are great for smaller bridal parties–they can fit up to ten people comfortably. For more, you’ll need to upgrade! A limo bus is not just roomier–it’s more luxurious. Most come equipped with leather seats, a minibar, and seating for up to 28 people. The lights, mirrors, and other fixtures make for chic wedding photos!
- Vintage CarI’ve been lucky enough to shoot not one, but two weddings this year where vintage cars made an appearance! They’re great for staging photos even if the motor doesn’t ever turn on, but you can also rent them to drive to and from your ceremony location. Usually, they come with a driver, so I can get pictures of you two snuggling in the back. You could even rent a fleet of vintage cars for your entire bridal party!
- Golf CartsThis one only really works when your ceremony and venue are on the same property–usually a country club. If you have your wedding at a scenic golf destination, we’ll definitely need to get some portraits on the green! Golf carts are the most efficient way to get around, and it’s actually adorable to see the bride and groom riding in one together, bridal party in tow.
