Katie and Kyle’s wedding at the Phoenixville Foundry was such a blast! From the start of the day at the Alloy Hotel, to pictures in Valley Forge, and then the epic dance floor at the Phoenixville Foundry, it was all so much fun.
Getting Ready & First Look at the Alloy Hotel
Katie and Kyle were both getting ready on the 8th floor of the Alloy Hotel in King of Prussia. It’s always a little funny going down two separate hallways but knowing that the bride and groom are so close to one another and yet so far away.
Katie and her ladies were having such a lovely time sipping champagne as they finished up with hair and makeup. Katie’s poof was amazing and stood above the crowd. Her lovely bejeweled dress hung nearby and all of her unique details were ready for being captured. Her mom was with her, though momentarily caught up in helping Katie’s brother find a missing bow tie, and she couldn’t believe her little girl was getting married. They shared a few moments together as she got zipped and buttoned, and then it was about time to see Kyle.
Kyle was ready too. He’d spent the morning with his groomsmen, making sure shirts were ironed and everyone had their shoes and bowties. Pretty much everyone was good to go. Thankfully, Kyle’s suit was complete and the room at the Alloy have great light. His brother Ian came through clutch with pinning on the boutonniere, and the transformation was complete. First look was next.
Before heading to the Phoenixville Foundry, we set up outside by the pool for Katie and Kyle’s first look. It was a little warm, but it didn’t matter. Katie came up behind him and they chuckled as she shuffled to the other side to grab his other shoulder. When he turned, they embraced and Katie kept asking him, “Are you ok?” and his answer every time was, “Yes!” They were so ready to get married.

Portraits at Valley Forge
We’re so lucky to have amazing parks around here, and Valley Forge is one of our favorites. Katie had opted for the National Memorial Monument for its architecture and stone work. Though it was easy to incorporate lots of greenery as well! We started with family photos and then worked through some fun wedding party pictures before settling into a couple quiet moments with just Katie and Kyle. That’s something that we value; giving you a few moments to be together in relative quiet on your wedding day. The results were stunning. Then we were off to the Phoenixville Foundry to get these kids hitched!

Ceremony & Reception at the Phoenixville Foundry
The sun was getting low as Katie and Kyle tied the knot outside the Phoenixville Foundry. Katie’s mom walked her down the aisle in a touching nod to their relationship, and her dad and step-dad both met her at the end of the aisle for a kiss before she joined arms with Kyle. They had a lovely and abbreviated Catholic mass wedding, which we’re sure everyone was glad for with the heat. They shared their vows and an awesome first kiss and then it was off to cocktail hour!

The mezzanine level at the Phoenixville Foundry is a great place for cocktail hour and really brings the industrial vibe to the forefront of the scene. Once guests had a chance to get started on the food and drink for the evening, they were all invited downstairs for the grand introductions.
The wedding party came down the dual stair cases, ladies on one side and gents the other, and met in the middle to walk to the dance floor together. But the new Mr and Mrs came down arm in arm to shouts and cheers! They opened the dance floor with their first dance and a set of parent dances before heading into the wing for dinner.
During dinner, Katie’s sister gave a lovely toast in her sister’s honor. Ian, Kyle’s brother and best man, followed with a fun and endearing speech. It was clear these two mean so much to their families and now they get to share in even more joy.
Katie danced with her mom, then her dad, and then the floor opened in earnest. The whole rest of the night, the floor was packed thanks to the great EBE Paris! Congrats you guys!
