When Theresa reached out to us ahead of her Pomme wedding to let us know that she was pregnant with twins and would be incorporating a gender reveal into the wedding, we were thrilled! Gender reveals at weddings are among our new favorite things after this.
Getting Ready at Pomme
Theresa is absolutely in the running for sweetest brides of the 2022 season. Her genuine excitement when we arrived to begin photographing her Pomme wedding day made us feel all warm and fuzzy inside. She was totally organized, and we were able to get right to work with her detail shots. Pomme also let us upstairs into a beautiful room for capturing the dress and Theresa putting the final touches on her wedding day ensemble. We loved the pink ombre dress with all its petals and how it accentuated her growing bump so beautifully. Glowing for so many reasons, Theresa opened her gift from Reggie. Queue the waterworks! Using one of her cocktail napkins featuring their sweet dog, she gracefully dabbed the tears and regained her composure. She was so ready to go see him. And was their first look ever dramatic!
Reggie meanwhile, had been battling wedding day nerves as he got ready. The normally boisterous and fun-loving groom was a bit overwhelmed and needed to see his bride asap. So we quickly got him dressed and over to Pomme for their first look.
The First Look & Portraits
There is a long bridge that leads to the ballroom at Pomme, and we put Reggie underneath to wait for his bride. Theresa gracefully passed overhead on the bridge before making her way across the field to where he stood. When he turned to see her, his face lit up. His love and the mother of his children was utterly radiant, and he joyfully embraced her. These two are so cute together! The took their time catching up for a few moments as we captured their excitement, and then we took their portraits. Wedding party joined in the fun and we had a great time capturing everyone all together. Then, it was time to hide the bride away and get ready for the ceremony at Pomme!
The Ceremony at Pomme
It was a beautiful day with gorgeous sunshine and pleasant warmth as the nearest and dearest of Reggie and Theresa gathered to witness their loving union in marriage. Their officiant, a family friend, also served as the hype man, getting the crowd amped for the wedding and ensuing celebration. The music began, and the ceremony was underway. We captured this stunning Pomme wedding ceremony with all the love and laughter that they shared with each other and their guests. Outdoor ceremonies are always a joy and afford us some more creative and unique angles than a traditional church service typically does. Theresa and Reggie made their vows and shared a fantastic kiss before bounding the aisle as husband and wife. Party time at Pomme!
Gender Reveal & Dance Party at Pomme
Being a wedding vendor often gives us a window into surprises that will happen. In the case of Theresa and Reggie and their reception at Pomme, we knew there would be a gender reveal for their twins following their first dance. Everyone cheered as they were announced as husband and wife and watched as they shared an amazingly sweet first dance. But the room went BESERK when they saw two black balloons come out from the back room and realized they were going to find out what Theresa and Reggie were going to have in just a few short months.
Everyone was screaming and shouting as Theresa popped the first balloon and was showered in pink confetti! A GIRL! She smiled ear to ear as everyone lost their minds. Reggie quieted the crowd just a bit for his moment. The proud dad took a running leap and nearly roundhouse kicked his balloon as he popped it. More pink! Another girl! One of the sweetest moments in the ensuing pandemonium of joy was seeing Reggie’s parents come over to congratulate their son and revel in the joy of having two granddaughters. The joy of this moment still brings tears to our eyes as we write just as it did in the moment.
The rest of the night was a true blur of fun and dancing and pure unbridled joy. Congratulations to Theresa & Reggie and their two sweet baby girls!
