It was a gorgeous winter day with beautiful skies perfect for Courtney & Steven’s Rivercrest Golf Club Winter wedding.
Getting Ready at Rivercrest & The Courtyard Marriot
The bridal suite at Rivercrest Golf Club is the perfect place to get ready for a wedding with its bright window light and elegant decor. When we delightedly arrived in the suite, Courtney was in the final stages of her wedding prep and pampering by Shear to You LLC. When she was finished with hair and makeup, the girls posed for a picture in matching pink heart shaped sunglasses. Draped in silky and brightly colored floral robes, the bridesmaids were eager to slip on their dresses and finally see the bride in her gown. The bride stepped into her stunningly elegant Modern Trousseau dress with the help of her family. She then added her pearl earrings and necklace, engagement ring, and a spritz of Prada perfume, and her bridal look was complete with her white rose and lush greenery filled Moles Flowers bouquet.

Over at The Courtyard Marriott, Steven, his groomsmen, and the ring bearer had a lively yet relaxed morning getting prepared for the day ahead. They hung out and shared a toast before getting all their last details together. Steven’s groomsmen helped him straighten his collar and his vivid orange tie that perfectly complimented his jacket. He then opened a gift and read a sweet card from his lovely bride to be. It was time to head to Rivercrest for a touching first look!

First Look & Winter Wedding Portraits at Rivercrest Golf Club
We found the perfect private nook outside of the ballroom for Steven to await his bride. Courtney marched up to Steven with the biggest smile on her face. Steven took a deep breath when she finally tapped him on the shoulder. When he turned around, they both could not contain their excitement. They shared a few hugs before a few (happy) tears. Portrait time was a breeze with how easily these two expressed their love. The chilled but bright blue skies were a stunning background over the Rivercrest golf course. Courtney was beautifully bundled in a white fur to help keep her warm, but the best remedy for cold weather is to stay close and cuddled together. When the body heat ran out, we peeked into the ceremony space to warm up before guests arrived and headed back to the bridal suite before their Rivercrest Winter Wedding fully kicked-off!

Sun Porch Ceremony
The tented sun porch off the Rivercrest ballroom is the perfect sunny spot for a winter wedding with outdoor vibes, but none of the harsh weather. Steven kept his calm as he and all the guests watched Courtney’s father walk her down the aisle. They exchanged their vows and the rings were brought by the trusty ring bearer, Steven’s nephew. Following their first kiss as husband and wife, Courtney and Steven headed back up the aisle under an arch of confetti cannons. What a fun and unique send off into marriage!

Friends & Family
Whenever we have the pleasure of shooting a Rivercrest Golf Club Wedding, we love to take advantage of the exquisite grounds, even in the freezing of February. The bridesmaids and groomsmen stunned in their multi-toned blue dresses and complimenting suits, which also looked amazing against the open blue sky. Everyone braved the frigid February temperatures for some amazing group photos with the bride and groom. The ceremony space was a brilliantly bright (and warm) spot to finish with family formals before joining the rest of the guests at cocktail hour.

Rivercrest Reception
Courtney & Steven were welcomed into the reception the same way they were ushered out of the ceremony, with their guests firing off the super fun confetti streamers. They shared a kiss in the center of the room before dancing for the first time as husband and wife. The father of the bride made a toast bringing tears to Courtney’s eyes as she listened from her sweetheart table. Two of her bridesmaids also gave sweet speeches before she danced with her father. Instead of Steven sharing a dance with his mother, he played a surprise that brought on a few more tears.

As the sun was setting over the golf course, we knew we had to sneak out for a few more epic portraits and once again, the sky did not disappoint. With the formalities done for the day, the cake was cut and the dance floor was open! Guests of all ages from big to small filled the floor with cheerful joy and excitement as they danced the night away with Sound Factor DJ Craig. Only with an occasional pause to enjoy all of the offered treats. From a stocked and loaded popcorn bar, to the Philly Soft Pretzels and the cake, dessert options were endless.

Congratulations to Courtney & Steven for a beautiful wedding and marriage. We are so thankful we could capture your special day!
