how they met
It’s one of those stories that starts a guy walks into a bar… kind of. Shelley and Jim did meet at a bar though. It was a night that had already involved several shots when Shelley ran into a friend of hers who was there with her boyfriend and his best friend. That friends name was Jim. Their first impressions were “he’s cute and a little shy” and “she’s a hot mess”. That kind of candidness and mutual enjoyment of all things brewed lead to a deepening love. Eventually Jim popped the question, and she happily said yes.
their Triumph Brewery engagement photo session
We made the trip to New Hope so that they could have their engagement photos at Triumph Brewery. Possibly the most unique place we’ve done an engagement session. These two love craft beer almost as much as each other and so there was no better place to celebrate their love than Triumph. Well, after a stop at Starbucks of course. The weather was chilly and damp and so warm drinks were a must. It lent an air of coziness to their session.
The staff at Triumph Brewery were amazing. We got to photograph in the taproom and in the main bar. When we were finished, we all enjoyed a beer together and it was absolutely delicious.
We can’t wait for their wedding on Friday! You’ll have to come back to see more of how they incorporate their love of craft brew into their wedding day!
