Corrin and Steve have been planning their engagement session for over a full year after the pandemic struck and derailed their initial plans. They’d wanted to have their pictures taken in Washington Square before moving to Chicago, but that was not meant to be. So, just a couple months before their wedding, we were able to get these two back in town and capture their engagement session in our favorite city.
We met at Washington Square Park on one of the first truly gorgeous days of Spring. It was so lovely that the park was quite busy, so we had our work cut out for us. But, with a few perspective tweaks and some patience, Corrin and Steve’s session had them feeling like they were all by themselves. The flowers were in full bloom, the greens were lush, and these two shone bright among them.
When we’d had our fill of Washington Square, we’d even stopped at our favorite little staircase in the city, we hopped an Uber and went over to Cira Green for some dusky cityscape shots. As the sun falls and the lights of the city come on, there’s something magical that happens. Naturally, that magic was perfect for engagement photos.
Situated between Chestnut and Walnut Streets is the darling rooftop park of Cira Green. This lovely patch of green overlooks the Schuykill River and has one of the most unique views of the skyline around. The sun was getting low, the light was getting long, and Philadelphia was showing off for us. Corrin and Steve held one another close as we captured portrait after portrait. What an amazing end to our Washington Square & Cira Green engagement session.
We are so excited to be back with these two very soon to capture their wedding day! 2021 continues to wow us.
