Colleen and Mark’s August wedding at Aldie Mansion was a beautiful celebration. This historic mansion with its grand brick facade and beautiful terrace & gardens, one of JAM Catering’s exclusive venues, located in Doylestown, was the perfect setting for Colleen & Mark to celebrate with their friends & family. Before we say anything, we thought we’d share their gorgeous wedding video, courtesy of the AGP Wedding Cinema team!
Although getting ready for a wedding at Aldie Mansion is so easy with its gorgeous bridal suite (and possibly an even cooler getting ready space for the guys, complete with dark wood bookshelves & a foosball table), both Colleen & Mark opted to get ready at their family homes before coming together for their wedding mass. When I walked into Colleen’s parents’ home, I was greeted by her gorgeous Milla Nova wedding gown perfectly staged on a mannequin in the family’s sitting room, alongside all of the bridesmaids’ hanging dresses.
As we got prepared to get Colleen ready, we incorporated as much of her childhood home into the photos, even getting a picture of all the bridesmaids popping confetti over her in her childhood bedroom. . . just before the group of girls broke the bed! Everyone was fine and had a great laugh as they started to put on their dresses.
Not only were Colleen’s sister and mother there to help her get into her gown, but we were also able to get photos in the back yard with her grandmothers and the rest of her family before we headed to church. There was so much love getting Colleen ready for her wedding at Aldie mansion that we knew it was going to be an awesome day.

On the other side of town, Mark was quietly getting ready with his parents while his groomsmen waited patiently to get started with their portraits. We didn’t learn until later that day that Mark’s mother was just a few days from having had a significant surgery, but she was pulled together beautifully and there by her son’s side for every moment of the preparations. If we could feel the love while Colleen was getting ready, we were basking in it at Mark’s house. Once he was all pulled together, he also stepped outside for a few portraits with his crew before heading to Our Lady of Guadalupe church for the wedding ceremony.

Wedding mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Doylestown
We’ve been through a few wedding ceremonies at this point in our careers (like, more than 400!) and there have been plenty of moments to bring tears to our eyes. At a normal wedding, it is the bride walking down the aisle that pulls on everyone heartstrings, but on this day, seeing Mark walk down the aisle with his mother nearly did us in. Call us softies, but almost everyone on our team is a boy mom and knowing the challenges she had overcome to be a part of this day with Mark “got us.”
And then, moments later, Colleen took everyone’s breath away as she walked down the aisle with her father. She beamed at Mark and he looked back at her, completely awed. Her perfectly tailored gown trailed behind her in a sea of white and no one could take their eyes of this lovely, joyful couple for the entire hour. After these two sealed their marriage with a kiss, they buoyantly traipsed down the aisle, offering high fives and cheers. After a handful of family portraits, we were heading on the way to celebrate at their wedding at Aldie Mansion!

Portraits for a Wedding at Aldie Mansion
When we arrived at Aldie Mansion, the Jam Catering team was kicking off cocktail hour in style and guests were settling in on the mansion’s gorgeous back terrace. The team from Buttercup Florist amazed everyone with their beautiful floral installation that they’d created around the terrace’s central fountain. And we gathered with Colleen, Mark, and their wedding party to get the portraits started.
After we buzzed through all the necessary group portraits for a wedding at Aldie Mansion, using the building’s gorgeous brick as our backdrop, Colleen, Mark, and the AGP team wandered deeper in the ground to capture their portraits. Light streamed over the mansion, creating a romantic aura for all of their breathtaking photos. As the cocktail hour neared its end, Colleen and Mark sneaked away to the bridal suite for one of our favorite little traditions during a wedding at Aldie Mansion.

Before opening up the reception space to guests, Colleen and Mark popped out onto the Juliet balcony from the bridal suite and said a few words to honor their families and welcome their guests to their celebration. Throughout the night, there would be so many memorable moments, from their perfectly choreographed first dance to the heartfelt speeches that left everyone teary-eyed. Through it all EBE’s Fiji Band kept the dance floor full and the party hopping.

Colleen and Mark’s Aldie Mansion wedding was a truly unforgettable celebration, with just the right balance of curated detail and organic emotions to make this a day that will be remembered for years to come.
