Wedding at College of Physicians | Meredith Mooney-Levin & Ankur Nagpal

Meredith and Ankur had an amazing wedding at College of Physicians following a year of planning during Covid-times. Despite Mother Nature throwing a fit a few days before – hello historic flooding! – their wedding day was absolutely perfect!

Getting Ready at the Loews Hotel

Meredith was so ready for her wedding at College of Physicians when we arrived to begin capturing the day. The ladies had had a nice morning at the Loews, and now it was go-time. Meredith’s details were beautiful! We loved her invitations with lovely succulents and clean lines. The show stopper though, were her incredible powder blue heels! We loved the simplicity and the perfect pop of blue for her day! Simple yet stunning, that was how Meredith had crafted her wedding ensemble.

Her W Too by Watters dress from Lovely Bride hung neatly in the window. The party-piece bow was also hung, waiting for the moment it would be attached and set the look off like a rocket. With a little help from her mom, Meredith was zipped into her perfect gown, and ready to head over to see Ankur.

While the ladies were finishing their primping, Ankur and his best man were so relaxed. Ankur even made himself a fresh cup of coffee. His custom navy suit from Indochino hung next to the Emmy that Meredith’s late father had won while working for Fox Sports. Now there’s a conversation starter! His initials were stitched inside, and we loved the ever so subtle pattern in the jacket. His polka dot bowtie worked perfectly with it, and when he put everything on, he looked sharp as a tack. Their dog Fitz gave him double high fives, and he was ready.

First Look Before the Wedding at College of Physicians

Meredith and Ankur had chosen to share their first look on the street where they lived together. They love their neighborhood and wanted to show it off in their portraits. So before their wedding at College of Physicians, Ankur waited in the street for his bride to tap his shoulder. One of his neighbor peeked out to say congratulations just before Meredith crept up behind him. When he turned to see her, his reaction was awesome. The smile he gave her was so loving and genuine and full of joy. We watched Meredith relax the instant she saw him, and we knew that they were home.

We wandered a bit for their portraits, as well as wedding party and family. Including a special appearance by their dog Fitz! Then it was time to get these two hitched!

The Ceremony at St Edmond’s Church

The scene was set at St Edmond’s Church for Meredith and Ankur’s wedding ceremony. This church holds special meaning to Meredith’s family, they even have plaques on the pews to honor her father and late brother. So when Meredith walked down the aisle with her mom, the moment carried even greater weight. Ankur smiled broadly as his bride strode confidently down the aisle to meet him. Their wedding at College of Physicians started right here. They listened carefully as the priest gave his homily, and eagerly exchanged vows with one another. After placing a ring on the hand of their beloved, they shared a kiss and cheered as loud as everyone else that they’d finally done it!

Reception for the Wedding at College of Physicians

One of the things most important to Meredith and Ankur for their wedding at College of Physicians was that everyone be able to have fun, safely. They set a wonderful tone throughout the night for folks to wear their masks, and people did! They’d even bought special clear ones for themselves and their parents so people could see their smiles all night. What a great idea!

Meredith and Ankur charged into their reception with great gusto! They set the bar high for the night with a beautiful and fun first dance. Followed by Ankur dancing with his mother. Meredith danced with her mom too, though in a more quirky and personal way. They picked a song they’d used to play in the kitchen and danced the little dance they’d made up for it. It was sweet and charming.

After toasts from Rachel, the matron of honor – who had gotten married only 6 days prior! – and the best man, Sean, it was dinner time. The staff of Catering by Design did such an incredible job for this wedding at College of Physicians. The food was outstanding. It couldn’t have been better for these two.

After cutting their cake, with some serious panache, we took the newlyweds outside their wedding at College of Physicians for a few nighttime portraits. Totally worth it, and Meredith was grateful for the cool down.

When we checked out for the night, Meredith thanked us. She said, “I hate getting my picture taken. But looking at these, I see all the joy that I feel. Thank you.” Those are some of the sweetest words ever shared with us, and it was our privilege to capture this wedding at College of Physicians for these two incredible people!
