Did you know that Pen Ryn Estate is home to not only one, but three vivacious venues? Although we love capturing weddings at Belle Voir like Lauren & Kevin’s and River’s Edge for Erika & Jake, we were thrilled to be back at the Pen Ryn Mansion for Olivia & Nicholas. The pair hosted family & friends for a traditional wedding at Pen Ryn Estate filled with luxurious charm, dazzling details, and genuine moments of pure joy. From Olivia’s graceful bridal ensemble, to the decor of the gilded-age historical mansion, every detail was perfect for this classic couples’ wedding.
Getting Ready for the Wedding at Pen Ryn Estate
After the morning of prep at her parents house, Olivia and her group of girls arrived just about ready for the wedding day at Pen Ryn Estate. Already a picture of luxury with her hair and makeup delicately done and dressed in her a-line gown. Olivia popped into the bridal suite at the estate to add the finishing bridal touches. Once her elegant emerald engagement ring, stunningly adorned tiara, and lace-up bowtie heels were donned, we captured her bridal beauty as she posed in the window lit bridal suite.
Meanwhile, Nicholas awaited his bride in the lavish library room of Pen Ryn Estate. His best man added the finishing touch with a simple white rose boutonniere. Dressed in a classic black tuxedo with a vest and bowtie, Nicholas was a grand groom finally ready for his wedding at Pen Ryn.
First Look & Portraits at Pen Ryn
Crafted and carved with delicate detail, the ornate library room was the perfect statement spot for Olivia & Nicholas’ first look. With Nicholas in position, Olivia opened the doors and walked through the room to finally tap him on the shoulder. After spinning around, his jaw dropped at the sight of his bride in her graceful gown and garb. We couldn’t resist snapping a few classic portraits surrounded by the gorgeous green and gold accents before taking to the grounds of the estate.
With stunning views all around the vast property, the grounds of Pen Ryn are gorgeous. From the river views and groomed gardens to the exquisite architecture and ornate interiors, there’s so much to explore! Despite the extreme July heat, Olivia & Nicholas were a vision of traditional elegance as they glided through the gardens and posed for their portraits. After some alone time together, the bride and groom headed into the estate to cool off.
Friends & Family
Back in the luxurious library, friends and family gathered around for their formal photos with the bride and groom. The ravishing room and boasting bookshelves paired perfectly with the sizable wedding party and set the stage for those epic group photos. Olivia’s bridesmaids dressed in the perfect complimenting shade of red against the contrasting green walls, the crispy black tuxedos on the groomsmen, and the layers of friends. It was the perfect recipe for creating a cool & classic portrait. Finally, the time to get Olivia & Nicholas married in a ballroom wedding ceremony at Pen Ryn Estate had come!
Ballroom Wedding Ceremony at Pen Ryn Estate
Nicholas stood awaiting his bride in front of the floral filled arch. Hand-in-hand with her father, Olivia waltzed down the aisle to a beaming Nicholas. The ceremony was officiated by one of Nicholas’ groomsmen with close friends each sharing a reading. In a short and sweet ceremony, the bride and groom exchanged their engraved rings and personal vows. Finally sealed with a kiss, Olivia & Nicholas officially became husband & wife!
Pen Ryn Reception
The baroque ballroom beautifully set with gold linen and centerpieces of white and red florals was ready for a wedding. Following the bustling bridal party, Olivia & Nicholas made their entrance into the ballroom and began their first dance. The newlyweds spun and dipped beneath the glamorous chandeliers to the tune of “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You”. The guests of honor settled at the sweetheart table and heard heartfelt words from many loved ones. Olivia shared a special song with her father then Nicholas with his mother.
Following the parent dances, all the single ladies gathered on the center of the dance floor for a chance to be the next bride. Olivia counted to three and tossed the bouquet over her head as the ladies joyfully fought for the flowers. They cut the simply elegant cake and it was time to party! Finally, the dance floor opened and Olivia & Nicholas snuck outside for some spic evening portraits. They danced the rest of the night away at their wedding at Pen Ryn Estate!
