With a full photo and video team in tow, we were thrilled to finally get Corrin and Steve got married in our favorite city, especially after they had to brave the pandemic and reschedules for their engagement session prior to their move to Chicago. It was an amazing whirlwind as we captured Corrin and Steve at some of the most spectacular locations in Philadelphia, culminating in their wedding at the Arts Ballroom!
Getting Ready at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel
Corrin and Steve spent the morning on separate floors of the spectacular Loews Hotel, but both were equally excited for what the day had in store.
When we arrived in Corrin’s suite, we gathered her beautiful details, including her stunning shoes, veil, and epic white Nikes! Corrin’s gorgeous dress hung on the suite’s windows, against the Philadelphia skyline, providing the perfect backdrop for Corrin to get ready for her big day.
Meanwhile, Steve and his groomsmen were getting put together a few floors down. Corrin told us that she was excited to see Steve in his awesome tux after spending the morning apart but was most excited for him to see her at their first look before their wedding at the Arts Ballroom.
First Look and Portraits before the Wedding at the Arts Ballroom
As Corrin walked up to Steve, who was standing on the Loews staircase, we all stared in awe at how stunning she looked. As Steve turned around, it was evident he was ecstatic, and more than ready to marry his best friend after all these years.
From the Loews, we walked into Philadelphia, and made our first stop City Hall, one of our favorite spots. The beautiful, historic building, topped with an iconic statue of Philadelphia founder William Penn, is a classic Philadelphia staple. Corrin and Steve loved taking pictures at this beautiful location as much as we did.
From there, we hopped on the trolly and headed to their wedding Arts Ballroom, with all of us more than ready to get these two married!
The Wedding at the Arts Ballroom
As we arrived at the Arts Ballroom Steve and Corrin’s families joy was palpable. The beautiful white architecture and florals that lined the Arts Ballroom were the perfect backdrop for their officiant to provide lovely blessings for the couple, as she led them through the giving and receiving of their rings. Corrin and Steve had written their own vows, adding a personal touch to their big day. As the ceremony came to an end, their family and friends celebrated as Steve smashed the ceremonial glass, yelling “Mazel Tov!”.
While the guests enjoyed all of the scrumptious treats prepared for cocktail hour, we got to capture some beautiful details around the Arts Ballroom. The architecture throughout the Arts Ballroom paired perfectly with the beautiful florals and table details. Corrin had personalized each person’s seat with a photo of them together with her and Steve, during all different points of time in their relationship. As well as incorporating Philadelphia themed décor, their dog Rocky even made an appearance on some special bar napkins!
The bridesmaids and groomsmen entered first and jumped right into a dance off as soon as they hit the floor! The new Mr. & Mrs. then descended the stairs, joining them, and danced to their first dance, followed shortly by their family and friends joining them on the dance floor to do the Hora! After taking their seats, they both shared a touching dance with their parents, and were blessed with wonderful family and friends who made beautiful speeches.
Saving the best for last, they gracefully cut into the lovely wedding cake by the Arts Ballroom and danced the rest of the night away!
