Wedding at the Lucy | Rachel Abramczyk & Michael Montalbano

We met Rachel and Michael at the Brides and Bubbly event from Philadelphia Weddings the week before the coronavirus stay at home orders started coming down. These two are incredibly kind. We had such a lovely talk with them about their story and their wedding day plans, and we were thrilled when they decided to book with us! Then coronavirus. After almost two years, the day of their Lucy wedding had finally arrived!

Getting Ready at the Cambria

Rachel and Michael spent the morning in separate rooms at The Cambria Hotel, with their bridal party and parents surrounding them with love.

When we arrived at the Cambria Hotel, Rachel and her entourage were finishing up with hair and makeup and were relaxing, jamming to their favorite songs. As Ashley gathered Rachel’s details, we were thrilled to have the backdrop of Center City Philadelphia to pose her beautiful jewels against. The city skyline always makes everything pop! Meanwhile, Michael and his groomsmen were getting put together down the hall, waiting to head out into Center City Philadelphia to begin the day.

FIRST LOOK & PORTRAITS IN CENTER CITY PHILADELPHIA

As we walked out onto Broad Street in Philadelphia, we knew the stunning weather was going to make for some fantastic photos of this couple and their bridal party. As half our photo and video team stopped traffic, we were able to walk Rachel over to meet Michael, with William Penn looking on-ward as they had their first look. It was priceless!

After the couple took a few minutes for themselves, they were ready to begin the walk to City Hall. The stunning architecture of City Hall was perfect for the bridal party and bride and groom portraits. After spending a beautiful afternoon with Rachel and Michael’s closest family and friends, it was time to head to The Lucy to get these two married!

THE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION AT THE LUCY

The rest of the day was hosted at The Lucy by Cescaphe. As Michael stood under the chuppah waiting for Rachel, there weren’t many dry eyes in the house. After Michael and Rachel said their vows, surrounded by family under the chuppah, Michael broke the traditional glass, and the party was ready to begin!

The Lucy wedding reception was hosted in the Grand Ballroom. This gorgeous space has a unique layout and endless possibilities for each couple. The Lucy is a signature Cescaphe wedding venue, and they are renowned for their signature cocktail hour. As the guests rolled in, so did the finest cuisines. The guests chattered away, eating and drinking, celebrating their loved ones and friends, the cacophony of harmonious noises echoed and bounced off the tall ceilings.

The wedding party entered in grand fashion into their Lucy wedding reception. There were blessings, dances, and speeches to recognize the newly married Mr. & Mrs. The smiles, laughs, and tears from these moments will never be forgotten, the wait was well worth it!
