Year in Review • Kristina + Brendan

Kristina and Brendan had a wonderful September wedding at the Downtown Club in Philadelphia, and we were so happy to be there capturing every moment.

Kristina is a fantastically bubbly and upbeat person. She was all smiles and laughs as she got ready at the Hotel Monaco, which is one of our favorite places in the city for getting ready with all the colorful rooms and unique decor. Brendan, also, had a great time while getting ready. Joking with the guys and making sure his hair was perfectly gelled. In the room with him, was his almost father-in-law who melted our hearts as he showed off his cufflinks; cufflinks emblazoned with pictures of Kristina as a little girl. So adorable!

We happily photographed this couple all around the city; their first apartment together, Broad Street by Independence Hall, and Washington Square, where the wind blew the fountain spray gently onto our bridal party. Refreshing. Kristina even agreed to a portrait through the droplets.

Their reception at the Downtown Club was gorgeous. Shimmering silver, airy white hydrangea centerpieces, and a Dr and Mrs cake topper that glittered in the plentiful light. After their grand entrance to a flower petal cannon, they danced sweetly, belying the wicked dance machines they were later in the evening. This party had some of the best dancing we encountered all year. It was such a blast watching everyone celebrate the love these two have for each other, and we couldn’t help but get swept up in a bit. It was truly sad for us to say goodnight when it was time to leave, but we will carry (no pun intended) these memories with us for a long time to come.
