Crystal Tea Room Wedding | PHL17’s Traffic Anchor Jenna Meissner & Tate Jozokos

Jenna and Tate spent a fabulous day loving each other all around Philadelphia. From the beautiful ceremony at St. Mary Magdalen’s in Media, to the amazing bridal party photos taken at the Merchant Exchange building, the couple topped it off with the perfect Crystal Tea Room wedding reception!

Getting Ready at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel & Private Residence

Jenna is the morning PHL17 traffic anchor and she is every bit as sweet in person as she is on tv. We were over the moon to spend the morning with her at her family’s private residence in Media Pa, where we joined in the fun capturing her bridal party spending quality time together before the Crystal Tea Room wedding. We weren’t the only ones having fun, as the joy that the kiddo’s spread around the house was felt by all.

We gathered Jenna’s gorgeous details and arranged them in her family’s wonderful sunroom. Her stunning dress was the star of the show, but before Jenna could get dressed, Tate had a surprise planned! Jenna, her bridesmaids and family joined us in the living room where she read a beautiful card that Tate had written to her days before, only to then be further stunned when she opened a stunning black Saint Laurent purse Tate had purchased for her.

While Jenna and the ladies were gathering at her family’s home, Tate was with his groomsmen at the Lowes Hotel in Philadelphia. He and his groomsmen were dressed to impress, and before riding the trolley to the ceremony, they raised a glass to the groom!

The Ceremony at St Mary Magdalen’s

As we entered St. Mary Magdalen’s, the beauty of the altar and stained glass windows lining the church was overwhelming. When mass began, and Jenna’s mother walked her down the aisle, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.

Jenna and Tate opted for a traditional Catholic mass, and Monsignor certainly delivered, touching on all the reasons they were meant for one another in his perfectly written sermon.

From New Hampshire to Philadelphia, a plethora of family and friends were in attendance as Jenna and Tate said their “I do’s” to one another. After the ceremony, it was off to the Merchants Exchange building for some spectacular bridal party portraits before finally getting to the Crystal Tea Room wedding reception!

Portraits Before the Crystal Tea Room Wedding Reception

As we drove into Philadelphia, we headed for one of our favorite spots. The beautiful, rounded facade of the Merchants Exchange Building is a classic Philadelphia staple. Jenna, Tate, and their entire bridal party loved this stunning place as much as we did.

From there, we hit one of our other favorite spots, Broad Street, to capture an iconic picture of the couple in front of Philadelphia’s City Hall building. This was most definitely the perfect portrait location for a PHL17 anchor! These two made portraits a breeze with how in love and excited they were to be with one another.

The Crystal Tea Room Wedding Reception

While the guests enjoyed all of the scrumptious treats prepared for cocktail hour, we got to capture some extravagant details around The Crystal Tea Room. The golden architecture throughout The Crystal Tea Room wedding reception paired perfectly with the beautiful florals and table details. A Philadelphia LOVE statue ice sculpture graced the hallway as guests entered cocktail hour, paired with a LOVE marquee celebrating the couple. As we entered the main reception room to celebrate the wonderful couple, there was a wonderful table paying tribute to the memory of Jenna’s father, who had passed away a few years earlier.

The new Mr. & Mrs., along with their bridal party, entered to a crowd of family and friends on the dance floor, as fireworks erupted behind them! The newlyweds danced to “I am Yours” by Andy Grammer, followed by more fireworks as their family and friends joined them on the dance floor. After taking their seats, they both shared a touching dance with their parents, and were blessed with wonderful family and friends who made beautiful speeches.

Saving the best for last, The Crystal Tea Room staff surprised the wonderful couple with not one, but two small cakes, highlighting their personalities perfectly. They gracefully cut into the lovely wedding cake by The Crystal Tea Room, and danced the rest of the night away!
