Kristina and Brendan had an amazing wedding at the Downtown Club in mid September. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect as the summer refused to let go and sun was warm and golden. Kristina is a wonderfully excitable and bubbly person. She smiled constantly as she got ready in her room at the Hotel Monaco – one of our favorite places for getting ready pictures. Her Essense of Australia gown featured a flattering trumpet silhouette and beautiful beaded embellishment on the bodice. Her stunning diamond bracelet and matching earrings from Dillards glittered in the sunlight and brought the perfect amount of sparkle to this already amazing bride. Kristina slipped into her dress and flashed a brilliant smile as her bridesmaids helped lace her up. It was almost time to head to the chapel and say I do.
Meanwhile, Brendan was busy getting into his well tailored Vera Wang suit and making sure that his hair was perfectly gelled. He asked each groomsmen and Rachel if it looked ok, and everyone confirmed that his hair was immaculate. We have to call special attention to Brendan’s wedding ring. The two tone metal finishes were truly unique to us and incredibly stylish and bold. His best man put his boutonniere on, and they packed their stuff up and made their way down to the shuttle to the church.
Before Kristina left, she shared a first look with her father. She had given him handmade cufflinks featuring her baby picture that he proudly wore as he walked his daughter down the aisle. Brendan was waiting for her, and she floated gracefully towards him, arm linked with her father and smiling broadly. As they listened to the priests charges and homily, they shared warm smiles and tight hand squeezes. Kristina couldn’t contain her joy and burst out laughing as they were pronounced husband and wife and joyously kissed her new husband. As the recessed, they both beamed.
Then we were off to Washington Square, Broad Street and their first apartment for portraits. In Kristina’s words,
We even spotted a rainbow in the fountain spray and photographed the happy couple under it.
When we arrived at the Downtown Club for the reception, we were greeted with incredible place cards featuring the Love sign. Their guest book was a collection of postcards to be placed in a personalized mailbox for them to take with them to their new home in Louisiana while Brendan trains in his field.
The newlyweds were announced in to the explosion of a petal cannon and danced together for the first time married. There were tears as toasts were given in their honor and they shared dances with their parents. Then the party got rocking. Brendan and Kristina really know how to have a good time and we had a blast capturing all the amazing dance moves on display. Everywhere we turned, there were friends and family having a wonderful time in honor of the new Mr and Mrs. We found ourselves dancing along as we weaved through the dance floor photographing the memories being created. We were so sad to bid this couple a fond farewell but glad that we were able to be part of such an incredible day.
