For a Saturday in the dead of summer, the weather was shockingly lovely. Warm but not raging hot, and no oppressive humidity. The perfect day for Abbie and Mike’s gorgeous wedding, where they not only celebrated their love and commitment to one another, but beautifully fused old world style with urban chic.

The details were perfectly exquisite. The understated and extremely elegant satin pumps for Abbie provided the perfect foil to the heavily beaded Theia Lilia dress she wore. Mike’s terrific suit was highlighted by his deep burgundy shoes. The day was revealing itself to be one of great beauty.

As she got her hair and makeup done, it became clear that Abbie adores Mike. She loves him with all she has and simply couldn’t wait to see him. We moved as fast as circumstances permitted and got her to Rittenhouse Square to finally join her man and never leave his side for the rest of the day. The walk she took to him seemed an eternity, but the moment he laid eyes on her, his face softened in a new way and they embraced tenderly and we watched all the wedding day stress fly away.

Throughout the day, Abbie and Mike would share glances and steal kisses. The day they had long awaited was here, and they were ready to join their lives in marriage. Their ceremony was short and sweet, filled with love and a special performance of “I Choose You” by Sara Bareilles by a longtime friend. As her lovely voice soared over the guests, Mike and Abbie stood there, arm in arm, and shared a look between them that said that this song was theirs. They would forever choose each other.

Abbie and Mike, it was an absolute delight getting to be part of your incredible wedding. We hope that you both enjoy your honeymoon, and have many more travel and adventures together over the coming years.
