It’s been a busy year, and it’s not over yet. But we have already seen so many gorgeous places, wonderful people, and some stunning wedding gowns! So, we thought we’d take a moment to highlight some of our favorites and why we love these dresses.
First up, we have this beautiful Allure Bridals gown that Hope wore for her April wedding. There is much to love about this dress, but a few specific things we’d love to point out. The delicate fringe work on the sweetheart top gives this dress a unique softness and really pulls you in. Then there’s the train – a mid length train with intricate lacing set in a wide pattern to set off the fabric. An elegant gown for an elegant bride.
Next, we have this gorgeous mermaid silhouette dress from Casablanca Bridal worn by Jessica. We love the beading around the bust breaks up the white and draws your eye down the length of the dress. The lovely ruffles and pulls in the train really conjure images of billowing waves, lending an air of enchanting siren to this gown.
Amanda’s Ellis Bridals dress was a jaw-dropper. There is so much happening, it’s hard to know where to start. The illusion neckline and lace three quarter length sleeves leading into a V back, it’s almost dizzying. It’s so beautiful. The delicate lacing that fades away into a mid length train of light and airy chiffon only adds to the delicate elegance of this dress.
Amy absolutely rocked this Hayley Paige gown which featured a deep sweetheart neckline fitted empire waist bodice and incredible flowing ruffly layers. The movement in this dress was unbelievable. Amy looked like a sprite, floating from place to place, her feet never touching the ground. She completed the look with flowing hair and an embellished belt to draw the eye to the waist and add a little sparkle.
Continuing the ruffle love, Tara’s amazing wedding gown by Monique Lhuillier was truly a wonder to behold. Starting with the strapless bodice which was intricately and delicately laced and beaded and working your way down to the beaded embellishments on the ruffled layers, this dress never ceased to amaze. It looked incredible on the hanger, but when Tara put it on, it took on new life. It moved on it’s own, and swirled about our lovely bride. Definitely a favorite from 2016!
Finally, we have a study in beading. Theia designed this incredible dress that featured a maze of beading. The simple cap sleeves and sheath style of the dress made the detail of the beading stand in the spotlight. The pattern changed and shifted from top to bottom, and seemed to move in a kaleidoscope fashion the longer you stared. Which you couldn’t help but do. Abbie wore this amazing dress for her July wedding and was completely stunning in it.
