Amanda and Dino’s amazing wedding was this past Saturday, and our associates Rachel and Serena were there to capture every incredible and romantic moment. Buckle up, their romance is epic… like Gone With the Wind epic. Just wait till you see their portraits.
When we arrived at Amanda’s family home, we found the house bustling with activity. Bridesmaids getting hair and makeup done, two adorable little flower girls bouncing about, two excited mothers getting primped to marry off their children, and a very beautiful bride ready to get dressed to meet her man at the altar. Amanda had a beautiful metallic flower headpiece in her hair and some fabulous family heirlooms to complete her wedding ensemble. Amanda wore her maternal grandmothers shoes for her ceremony, the very same that she had worn at her own wedding many years before, and attached her rosary to her bouquet. Little homages to her heritage and family that just made the day that much more special. Her incredible ivory wedding dress featured an illusion neckline, lace 3/4 length sleeves, and a gorgeous mid length train. As she slipped it on, she transformed from bride to be into a full blown princess. After a few last touches, we herded everyone to the cars and sped off to the church.
Their ceremony was a lovely Catholic mass at St. Bede the Venerable church, a quaint little church with lots of wooden accents and stunning marble altar. When Amanda walked down the aisle to Dino, he couldn’t keep his eyes off her. It struck us in a sea of weddings how locked he was on her. He would smile this adorable little half grin that seemed to involuntarily cross his face every few seconds. She was everything he’d ever dreamed of, and he couldn’t help but let it out. Even their priest mentioned it during his homily. So striking was their love for one another that everyone was bathed in a warm glow. Once vows and rings were exchanged, they recessed triumphantly out into a sea of bubbles and congratulations.
We then dashed off to Tyler State Park where we had done their engagement session. The lane that lead into the park was lined with trees, freshly bedecked with green leaves. We shot some very romantic portraits of these two. Seriously romantic portraits. There was just something about the way they were together. The way he looked at her, the way she smiled at him, their long embraces and tender and completely unabashed kisses. It was like watching a great romance movie play out in real life. We soaked up every minute we had with these two. We won’t soon forget it.
Their reception at Spring Mill Manor was beautiful. They had a guest book box, where guests drew on wooden heart cutouts and placed them inside a beautifully decorated wooden box that they would display in their new home together. They danced to the Elvis classic “I Can’t Help Falling in Love With You”. This song is the perfect summation of their wedding day. Even we couldn’t help falling in love with them a little bit.
All too soon, it was time to leave. Amanda and Dino, thank you for being the amazing people you are and we wish you both a great life together. You are both incredible people and we were honored to be at your wedding.
xo, Rachel
