Blue Bell Country Club Wedding | Kelly Cleary & Matthew Rawlings

We are thrilled to share this splendid wedding full of family sentiment, careful details, and fun! Kelly and Matt were radiant in their love for each other on their wedding day. They are an outgoing couple who love spending time with family and friends. Their wedding day included a traditional ceremony that honored their families, followed by a fantastic party at the Blue Bell Country Club. With the scenes of a historic church and lush country club, this wedding was a dream!

Getting Ready at the Normandy Farms Hotel

We started the day at the Normandy Farm Hotel. This historic venue served as the perfect backdrop for these photos, with its gold, silver, and white decor that complimented the Kelly and Matt’s wedding colors. Kelly and her bridesmaids, together with her mom, toasted the day with champagne in hand. We were able to capture Kelly’s bridesmaids helping her into her stunning sleek bridal gown, followed by her mom adding the style surprise in the back: a couture bow that added the right amount of spontaneity to compliment Kelly’s personality! In addition to the joy of getting ready, we also caught Kelly’s dad’s first glimpse of his daughter on her wedding day – Kelly glowed with excitement, and her dad beamed with pride at his gorgeous daughter.

Down the hall, Matt and his groomsmen were getting dressed in their classic tuxedos. Like Kelly, however, Matt’s attire had a twist on the traditional: a navy tux with black lapels, and black and white geometric socks that peaked out from under his pants as he sat down. We love it when our brides and grooms choose details that showcase their personalities – and when we get to capture them in photos! Another special moment occurred when Matt made a phone call to Kelly. He was stoic and serious about dressing himself for his wedding day, but in talking to his bride, we could see and hear how much he loves her!

Arrival to St. Matthew Church

Matt and the bridal party arrived at the church in a gleaming white trolley, followed by a quick round of drinks to toast the occasion. After Matt was safely inside the church, Kelly and her parents arrived via limo. The photos of Kelly’s parents and sister escorting her into the church are sure to be treasured, because St. Matthew church is where Kelly’s parents were also married. The historic stone exterior served as a beautiful and sentimental setting for Kelly and her family!

Their St. Matthew Church Wedding Ceremony

Upon entering the church, it is easy to see what Kelly and Matt loved about the space, in addition to its personal meaning to Kelly’s family. It has a breathtaking interior that was thoughtfully and minimally decorated, since the space’s white walls, gold accents, and amazing stained glass windows held a vast loveliness on their own. As the bridal party processed in, the guests held ardent faces in anticipation of the main event. Right before Kelly’s maid of honor/sister walked down the aisle, we were able to capture a sweet shared smile between Kelly and her sister. As Kelly and her dad started walking down the aisle, Matt was smiling with love in his eyes as he saw his bride for the first time. Kelly was grinning from ear-to-ear as she approached her groom. One of our favorite moments from the ceremony was during the sign of peace: Kelly and Matt walked back up the aisle to share hugs and wave to their family and friends in the pews!

At the end of the ceremony as Kelly and Matt were walking out of the church, it is obvious that Matt was enamored with his new wife and Kelly was over the moon to be married to her new husband! Their guests were rejoicing right along with them, clapping vigorously as they exited.

Bridal Party Portraits in Conshohocken

After the ceremony, we spent some time capturing traditional family and bridal party photos in the church. Then, we headed outside where Kelly had a surprise for everyone: construction hats! The week before their wedding scaffolding went up right outside of the historic stone building. Kelly didn’t let that deter he elation – she just rolled with it! She was so thrilled to be getting married in the same church as her parents, and wanted to commemorate this special tie with pictures. To make it all fit in, she gave her bridal party construction hats to have fun with during this photo session – and fun was definitely had by all!

Partying All Night at a Blue Bell Country Club Wedding Reception

Guests arrived at The Blue Bell Country Club for the cocktail hour, greeted by personal touches chosen by the bride and groom. These included framed family wedding photos of Kelly and Matt’s relatives, a vintage style birdcage for cards, and gorgeous floral arrangements designed by Coupe Flowers. After the cocktail hour, the bridal party made a grand entrance, starting with Kelly and Matt’s parents leading the way, enthusiastically waving flags for the bride and groom. Upon entering the ballroom, Kelly and Matt went right into their love-filled first dance.

The Blue Bell Country Club Grand Ballroom provided an elegant stage for the party. Kelly and Matt kept their decor choices understated, yet celebratory with white and gold design elements complimented by a variety of greenery in their flowers. Their cake was an elegant masterpiece created by the Blue Bell Country Club’s catering staff – a luxurious four-tiered white frosted cake with gold foil and floral details! One of the most memorable moments from the evening was when Kelly’s dad had everyone laughing to the point of tears with his toast, which included a bridal stick horse. The rest of the night was an excellent party – a full dance floor, constant laughter, and guests brimming with merriment! Kelly was especially excited about their band, Kristen and The Noise, and they did not disappoint!
