Kelley and Jim’s lovely intimate wedding in Chestnut Hill was truly a family affair. With their combined five children in tow, they tied the knot in a beautiful outdoor ceremony that celebrated their love and their joy at officially combining their families.
Kelley is the sweetest southern belle around. Originally from Tennessee, she and Jim met and fell instantly in love with one another. In a year like 2020 with so much grief, they were a bright spot of joy and love.
We met them for their intimate wedding in Chestnut Hill at a gorgeous church. The towering columns out front were beautiful, and the holiday decorations gave everything the warmth and glow of the season. Speaking of warmth, it was a very pleasant day for December. Mild with no wind, so everyone was about as comfortable as they could be outdoors in December.
We started with portraits of the two lovebirds while everyone else busied themselves with some last minute details. Kelley and Jim are so wonderful together. It was easy to love how they laughed together, how they walked and talked together, and how they snuggled each other tight. Kelley joked about not being coordinated, but girlfriend is lying! She pulled off an expert twirl and wrap up with no problem.
Then it was time for their intimate wedding in Chestnut Hill. The kids gathered around to watch their mom and their dad get married. They shared sweet vows and the kids all affirmed their love and their excitement for becoming one big blended family. They sealed the deal with rings and a great kiss and then it was official!
We spent a lot of time with family groupings because of how important the blending of their families was. We did lots of iterations of everyone with everyone else and made sure that this moment was commemorated for the ages. Then we capped off their intimate wedding in Chestnut Hill with a few more portraits of the now newlyweds before sending them off to their “reception”. Game night and Japanese food at home with their children. So sweet!
