A little while ago, we introduced you to the Rising Tide Society. A community of creative entrepreneurs who came together to provide the support and community that is so desperately needed when trying to make a business thrive. Their motto of “Community over Competition” is intended to encourage creatives to support and encourage one another in the daily struggle of comparing yourself to other businesses and feeling lonely and like you’re a failure. To help facilitate this community, there are groups that meet up in specific cities for Tuesday’s Together. There’s usually a time of education, sharing and general support, and it’s a great way to meet the fellow creatives in your area and learn how to better run your business, hone your craft, and establish relationships that will be fruitful for years to come. The Philadelphia chapter is co-led by our very own Ashley Gerrity!
This past meet up in April, we focused on collaboration. Lauren Schwarz Photography opened her gorgeous new studio space in West Chester to the group. There were several table-scapes full of flowers, delectable treats, and stunning stationery for a workshop led by Ashley on how to photograph them beautifully. There were a plethora of photographers swapping headshots for one another, and free hair and makeup for those (like your author) who are chronically challenged by such things. The entire room was filled to bursting with creatives rotating through the workshops and chatting excitedly about their various business and creative adventures. It’s incredible to see how different everyone’s style is. We had vintage lovers, studio productions and go with the flow natural light creatives all mingling, shooting, chatting and connecting in meaningful ways. Truly a wonderful day of collaboration and connection.
The next Tuesday’s Together meeting is TOMORROW! If you’d like to join the Philadelphia Tuesday’s Together, click here, or drop us an email and we will loop you in! Ashley@ashleygerrityphotography.com or Rachel@ashleygerrityphotography.com. Hope to see you there!
The Amazing Creatives Who Contributed to This Collaboration
Oh wow! This looks awesome!! I’ve only been able to make it to one meet up so far in Annapolis but this looks like such a great time! 🙂
Wow this look like a dream come true creative get together. I always say life doesn’t usually life up to what I think life could be. Often times I go to festivals expecting something grand and it’s not. This, THIS is what creatives do when they get together. Gorgeous and so fun! I’m tempted to drive up to Philly and attend.
What an amazing group! Makes me wish I lived in Philadelphia!
