Phoenixville Foundry wedding | Melissa McGroarty & John Mulhern

After their beautiful Water Works engagement session, we couldn’t have been more excited for Melissa and John’s Phoenixville Foundry wedding. With good reason. They blew us away.

Getting Ready for the Big Day

When we arrived at Melissa’s parents’ home, we found all the ladies made up and hair done, ready and waiting to get dressed. But before they donned their beautiful periwinkle blue dresses, we photographed Melissa’s stunning details. The “something blue” earrings, her gorgeous wedding rings, and the striking Badgley Mischka heels made us swoon. After capturing the delicate details, Melissa eagerly slipped into her beautifully fitted Watters wedding gown. It fit like a glove. And she was every bit the bride we knew she’d be.

Wedding Ceremony at St Eleanor Church

In a beautiful ceremony, officiated by her great uncle, Melissa and John said their I do’s in the presence of those they love most in the whole world. It was important to them to have the moment they first saw each other on their wedding day be as Melissa walked down the aisle to John. His smile was amazing. The woman of his dreams was an absolute vision and he almost couldn’t handle the joy. Almost. They made beautiful vows to one another and promised to live life together in love and grace. After an exchange of rings and a kiss, the newlyweds joyfully made their way to the Phoenixville Foundry for portraits.

Phoenixville Foundry Wedding Portraits & Reception

The industrial brick building of the Phoenixville Foundry was the perfect background for wedding party portraits as well as our spectacular bride and groom. As we worked our way around the Foundry, we found lots of hiding places for Melissa and John to get cozy. The light was beautiful and the threat of rain cleared enough that we were unconcerned about the weather. They laughed, loved, hugged and kissed while we snapped away. It was perfect.

Then it was time to party! And they had a little surprise up their sleeve. The St Joe’s hawk made a triumphant entrance into the dance party and helped everyone dance the night away.
