The grounds at Pine Crest Country Club were a wonderfully scenic backdrop for both bridal party and couples portraits. Not only did we get to photograph Dan and Shamala in their lovely wedding dress and suit, but they also changed into traditional Indian garb for a small ceremony where they were anointed with a spiced water and had beautiful garlands of fresh flowers adorn their necks. After that ceremony we took them all around the grounds to get portraits in both outfits. The vibrant red of Shamala’s dress contrasted beautifully with the greenery, much like a rose. However, when the sun sunk low, we whisked them out for a few shots beneath the splendid sky.

These portraits are amongst our very favorites. The romance of sunset, the love of this radiant couple and the promise of a night of celebrating their union will stay with us for a long time to come. We will show you some of that celebration in tomorrow’s post.
