Mari and Mike grew up in Avalon and so it was fitting that they got married on the beach in their hometown, and we were so happy to be there in the sun, on the sand, listening to the waves and watching their beautiful love unite them in marriage. They made sure to incorporate lots of coastal details and elements into their day.
Mari was wonderfully calm and relaxed as she got ready, even when a seeming tragedy struck and the zipper on her gorgeous BHLDN dress broke! Thankfully, one of her bridesmaids had studied fashion design and sewed her in perfectly.
After the ceremony, the shuttle left us in the dust while we were traveling to the portrait locations. Usually, not a problem – thanks GPS – but this time, the shuttle stopped at a dollar store, for some last second props, and when we arrived at the location, there was no bridal party! A couple of phone calls later, we were all on the same page again and had a beautiful time on the beach for photos.
They held their reception at the beautiful Yacht Club of Stone Harbor and Cord 3 Films was there to capture the magic on film.
