It was a beautiful day for Ann Marie and Steve’s Mendenhall Inn wedding, and we were excited to be there to capture their love on camera, in more ways than one!
Getting Ready at Private Residences and Class-Fit Studio
Ann Marie and her bridesmaids were all in a circle on the floor at Class-Fit Studio when we arrived to begin shooting details before heading to her parents home to actually get dressed. We loved the pops of periwinkle she incorporated into her wedding day ensemble. But it was the understated elegance of her Amsale gown, a gown that wasn’t what she’d initially envisioned but had tried on at the suggestion of Linda at Elizabeth John’s in Ardmore, and it felt completely right. We had to agree. When she slipped into it, she was absolutely perfect.
Not too far away, Steve was busy doing up suspenders and making sure his bowtie was spot on. The custom flasks were out at the ready for his groomsmen to enjoy and bring along for all the wedding day festivities. Soon it was time for the ceremony, and he made haste to the church.

Ceremony at St. Anastasia’s Church
Steve anxiously waited at the top of the aisle for a glimpse of his bride. Linked arm in arm with her father, Ann Marie appeared in the doorway and Steve’s grin said it all. Their traditional Catholic ceremony brought them together as man and wife, and soon it was time for their reception at the Mendenhall Inn.

Mendenhall Inn Wedding Portraits
The lovely tree line gave us a beautifully green backdrop for photos. Ann Marie and Steve provided the adorable subjects. Steve couldn’t help but goof off and make Ann Marie giggle, and when we swept them under her veil, it was exquisite. Mendenhall Inn has some train tracks running through it and, after ensuring there were no trains, we enjoyed some portraits along those. Then it was time for the Mendenhall Inn wedding reception to begin!

The Mendenhall Inn Wedding Reception
The ballroom at Mendenhall Inn was dressed to the nines for Ann Marie and Steve’s wedding reception. Their entrance was grand as the staircase they descended to roaring applause. Ever the showman, Steve egged them on with a raised fist. They opened the floor with their first dance before turning things over to Ann Marie’s father for his welcome to all.
From there, the reception flowed much the same as most tend to, but when the dance floor really got going, it became clear that this Mendenhall Inn wedding reception was cut from a different cloth. Lots of singing with the band, crowdsurfing, and more. The party raged on until well past when we took our leave.
