Angel and John tied the knot this past Saturday in a delightfully rustic and vintage romantic way. To really communicate the heart of these two, we wanted to share with you how they first met, and their adorable first interaction. By the way, they both call each other Lamby – which we think is super cute!
Angel: “The Flyers were actually in the Stanley Cup playoffs (shocking) and we were both watching at The Princeton in Avalon, NJ. We both had beach houses with our friends. John was with his friend Sully and they both were wearing their Flyers jerseys and screaming at the TV. I was with my girlfriends and thought….jeez, these boys are loud. The bar wasn’t that crowded so they came over to talk to us. John was the shy one but he was so gorgeous. I tried to play it cool. Then he was weirdly staring at me and finally spoke…asking me if my hair was real?? I had no idea how to respond but yes, it was and is. My Lamby blushed and looked a bit embarrassed. Then a few of my guy friends came in and John and Sully seemed to fade in to the background, I guess they were giving us space but I wished he had stayed. That night, I looked for the tall and very handsome man that had asked me something I had never been asked before. Luckily, I found him and the rest is history. I am soooo happy I watched that game that day…and I don’t even like hockey…well, I didn’t tell him that”
John: “It was the first weekend that my buddy Sully and I moved into the beach house, the town was sort of dead it was before Memorial Day and nobody had really arrived yet, but we were there ready to launch the mid-life crisis summer! We are both huge hockey fans and looked sort of out of place in orange & black winter-themed regalia at a summer establishment, but what the “H” we created Chickies-n-Pete’s Avalon East. It was not crowded, though there were a few very attractive felines sitting at the oyster bar, we were impressed at their passion for the game, Lambey is correct Sully initiated conversation and I awkwardly followed, but was determined to participate and not cower. My line was awkward….”Is your hair real?” instead of crucifying me for such a lame Q[uestion], Lambey chuckled and made me feel special instead of stupid…this continues to this day….which is why I love her!!!”
As Angel came down the aisle to John, his love for her was written all over his face. There is a softness about him when he sees her. They had a fabulous party too. John is the bassist in a band and had his buddies play for their reception. He even joined them for a few songs.
Angel and John, we hope you are enjoying Turks and Caicos and your first few days as Mr and Mrs! Here’s to many years of wedded bliss!
xo, Ashley
