JG Domestic at Cira Centre Wedding

Melissa and Matt got married this past weekend and whoa boy, it was amazing! From their first look at the brand new Cira Green ( rooftop wedding venue) to their super groovy dance moves, we laughed our way through the day with these two incredible people.

Melissa is an actress, a damn good one at that, and she and Matt have been together for a long time. After realizing that they were going to spend the rest of their lives together, they decided that they would spend it married. Best friends first, husband and wife second.

The day started off at the Hyatt Bellevue with a very excited Melissa getting ready. All her details were perfect. Perfect. We loved watching her just float, that’s how she was the entire day. Cloud nine and walking on sunshine. Matt was a little less floaty, but just as excited.

Matt and Rachel waited at Cira Green for Melissa’s arrival, and were awestruck by the view. Situated on the roof of the parking garage between Cira One and Cira Three, this park in the sky overlooked all of downtown Philadelphia and the Schuykill River. As an added bonus, the Made in America festival was happening just a few blocks away at the Art Museum, and the sounds of the music drifted up to us providing the perfect soundscape for our two lovers first meeting of the day.

We made them wait, and it was a little mean of us. Melissa was beside herself and when we finally gave the green light, she practically ran to Matt. Their first embrace was teary eyed and sweet. What followed was a whirlwind of bridal party and family photos before heading over to JG Domestic for the ceremony.

The ceremony was short and sweet. The almost Mr and Mrs sealed letters in a box to be opened on their first anniversary and exchanged simultaneous vows and rings. Their first kiss as man and wife was so sweet and tender and then the party began in earnest!
