We just had a weekend off, at least from photographing weddings, and we thought it would be a good time to stop and reflect on the whirlwind of a spring we had. All the incredible people that we’ve gotten to meet and all the beautiful places we’ve been. It bears repeating that it is not lost on us the extreme privilege of what we get to do as our profession. The momentous and very personal occasion that we are hired to make sure you never forget. To all our past couples and those in the future, we are so grateful that you would choose us to have that honor.
May started off with an absolute beauty of a wedding. Amanda and Dino had their amazing wedding at the very lovely SPRING MILL MANOR. Amanda’s dress by ELLIS BRIDALS was simply stunning, featuring delicate lace 3/4 length sleeves and an amazing plunging back. Dino was completely taken with her and, under a somewhat turbulent sky, we got some fantastic portraits capturing their romance.
The week after, we were off to GERMANTOWN CRICKET CLUB for the marriage celebration of Sienna and Alex. Despite a less than beautiful forecast, the rain held off for long enough that we were able to get some lovely portraits outside.
May was not very kind to us weather-wise and for our double wedding day on the 21st was not immune to the rain.
Angel and John found a few breaks in the rain for their wedding portraits before heading back into their lovely rustic barn wedding and reception. Angel’s fabulous purple bouquet and dress designed by THEIA were pure loveliness.
Meanwhile, in the city, Serena was capturing the romance of Towanda and JeNo. Their incredible candlelit ceremony at LE MÉRIDIEN was intimate and cozy. They’ve been together for a long time and finally made things official.
Joanna and Gabriel’s wedding was a gorgeous day full of love and laughter. These two incredibly smart people had found their perfect match in each other. We loved all their special little touches, like their penguin cake topper and all the peachy keen florals by ENCHANTED FLORIST.
May ended with a Friday night blowout to start Memorial Day Weekend at the awesome wedding of Tara and Ryan. Their totally kick ass DOWNTOWN CLUB reception has us smiling for days afterwards. These two are perfectly amazing together, and really let their personalities shine through all the details. Tara’s bridesmaids and matrons of honor had such unique dresses from BADGLEY MISCHKA, VERA WANG and ADRIANA PAPEL, and her rose gold rings were incredible Ryan’s ring also had rose gold beveling which was one of the coolest things we’ve seen this year so far. It was a day full of love and joy and lots of fun!
June started with Ashley and Steve tying the knot in beautiful and historic Valley Forge. The Venue at VALLEY FORGE CASINO RESORT was set up beautifully for their I Do’s. We adored Ashley’s sense of style with her stunning champagne gown from ALLURE BRIDALS, and her whimsical BETSEY JOHNSON heels. Their portraits in Valley Forge national park were lovely and the perfect break from the business of the day.
There’s still five months of wedding season left for us! We can’t wait to see where we go and who we meet, and we hope that you’ll check back with us to see it for yourselves!
