Catching Our Breath | Wedding Season 2016

Phew, it has been a very busy spring here at Ashley Gerrity Photography! Over the last 13 weeks, we have photographed 18 weddings. That doesn’t include all the engagement photo sessions, boudoir and styled shoots that have filled the days in between. It has been a bit crazy at times, but we are working very hard to ensure that all our brides, grooms and their family and friends have exquisite photographs and prompt delivery.

We’ve gotten to meet some incredible people. We’ve shared in some beautiful moments. We’ve been to new places. And we’ve had our lives touched in truly special ways by the people we’ve had the pleasure to serve.

Here is part one of a brief recap of our season to date.

We started with Salima and Ali and their lovely Valley Forge wedding.

The following weekend there was Stephanie and Kent’s vibrant DIY wedding at JOHN JAMES AUDUBON CENTER. This wedding featured a beautiful BHLDN dress and excellent catering from JEFFREY MILLER CATERING. Oh, and a rather cheeky ring bearer.

April started off with a whirlwind of three weddings in one day! Ashley, Rachel and Serena all shot a wedding that day.

Ashley was at the wonderful wedding of Hope and Billy at the beautiful COLLEGE OF PHYSICIANS. Featuring a dress designed by ALLURE BRIDAL, BILL LEVKOFF bridesmaid dresses and stunning florals by GARNISH DECOR, this wedding was beautiful from the outside in.

Serena was with Jessica and Jon at the MERION TRIBUTE HOUSE. The beautiful architecture really highlighted Jessica’s CASABLANCA gown, and the men’s VERA WANG suits completed the feel of elegance that the entire wedding exuded.

Rachel spent the day in Delaware with Andrea and Jason. Andrea was a perfect sprite as she got ready for her big day, and Jason was debonair as ever. They spent their day enjoying every moment with their family and friends, and were wrapped up with each other every chance they got.

We had a great mini wedding session with Michelle and James. Their long awaited nuptials at LaCroix in Rittenhouse Square featured amazing calligraphy and was coordinated and decorated by our good friend Tonia of ARIBELLA EVENTS.

The following weekend, we journeyed out to Lancaster for a delightful and rustic wedding celebrating the union of Sarah and Chris. Their simple but beautiful DIY touches expressed so much of their personality and love.

Amy and Jeff’s wedding was every bit as magical as their engagement session foretold. Amy’s exquisite HAYLEY PAIGE gown was showstopping and Jeff looked at her in a way that made her even more radiant. Their reception at the BALLROOM AT THE BEN was a rocking party and full of elegance and grace. And our studio mate, ALEKSANDRA AMBROZY provided the beautiful hair and makeup for the day.

Art and people lovers Kelly and Rob got married at the Abington Art Center where family was celebrated alongside their love.

Our senses were almost overpowered by the amount of incredible detail and beauty from Britney and Joey’s wedding. From her fabulous DEMETRIOS CASABELLA MILANO dress, to her BADGLEY MISCHKA heels, the gold jellies worn by her flower girl and the vintage Rolls Royce that came to see them off, everything was beautiful. Especially the bride and groom.

As April came to a close, we had the lovely privilege of photographing Allison and Steve’s wedding at WHITE MANOR COUNTRY CLUB in Radnor after a ceremony in West Chester. Her TARA KEELY BY LAZARO dress fit like a glove and her fabulous JIMMY CHOO heels took it to the next level!
